Adam Wakeman
Born March 11th 1974 into a musical family, Adam started playing classical piano at the age of 8. By 17, he had obtained grade 8 piano from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and had recorded the first, of what was to become many albums with father Rick Wakeman.
Much of the early touring history with Rick encompassed the UK & Europe, Russia, South America, the US, and Canada ranging from 2 grand piano concerts to 6 piece Rock performances with orchestra and chior.
At 24 years of age, Adam won the “Best New Talent” award in America's ‘Keyboard’ magazine, which saw the beginning of his involvement on the London session scene. Several number one singles and countless top 40 single releases have Adam's keyboard playing on.
As a sought after keyboard player, his career has seen him tour with OZZY OSBOURNE (since 2003 to current day), BLACK SABBATH (original line up of Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward), TRAVIS from June 2003 to 2007, ANNIE LENNOX , Will Young, Gareth Gates, Rick Wakeman / Wakeman with Wakeman, Victoria Beckham, Atomic Kitten, Artful Dodger, The Strawbs, Lisa Stansfield, GENE, Jeronimo Road, A Company of Snakes (formerly Whitesnake), Sandy & Junior, Progressive Rock legends YES, Gintare, Rob Dougan, Tony Hadley, Martin Fry.
Currently, Adam is splitting his time between his own band ‘HEADSPACE', working with Ozzy and writing music for films and TV.
